Trina joined Sax Wealth Advisors as a Partner and Tax Strategist in October 2026, bringing more than 35 years of experience in tax planning and preparation.

Trina is passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals through tax planning and preparation. “I seek to understand our clients’ individual needs, educate them on their specific tax circumstances and then to make recommendations that are custom to their needs. Each client relationship is unique.”

Trina has worked in tax departments for multinational and local public accounting firms before establishing her own public accounting firm. In 2003, Trina and husband Ken Weingarten founded Weingarten Associates LLC. Both Trina and Ken focus on providing high quality advice and an exceptional client experience. They built the firm on a simple purpose: making a difference in clients’ lives through exceptional financial planning, investment management and tax advice. They measure progress by whether clients reach their goals, not by investment markers alone. The firm serves corporate executives and professionals, self-employed business owners, academics and librarians, and individuals and families with charitable goals.

When Trina is not engaging with clients, she enjoys spending time with family, exercise, traveling, cooking/nutrition, reading, and the arts. She is particularly fond of nature walks, historical fiction and artistic endeavors.
